Yes! I can tell you that reading tarot cards online definitely works, just as well as if the person was sitting opposite me at my table. Some of my most striking and moving readings have been online.
Tarot has two sides. First, it takes a long time to learn. Each of the 78 cards has a meaning (or more than one meaning, depending on context!) and most good tarot readers will have memorised these, and have an understanding of how they combine, gained through years of experience doing readings.
The other side of tarot, though, is less 'hard work' and more...'magical'. Yes, there's an aspect to tarot that's plain weird! I don't claim to understand it, but I do know that it works. (To be honest, I don't really understand how my microwave oven works, but that doesn't stop me having faith that it will heat my coffee up!).
The magic of tarot is the way the cards seem to reflect the psyche of the sitter. Emotional states. Difficult decisions. The hard knocks of life and the ways in which they've affected you. They're all laid out, as the reading progresses. I just LOVE that it happens, but don't ask me to explain it!
To me, tarot provides a spiritual connection between me and the person sitting for the reading, and to the wider spiritual World 'beyond'. I don't think we have to be in the same room to be connected, or even in the same country!

I wish you peace.
